Challenge is busy in the studio recording a new album. The core of Challenge is of course, vocalist Allison Lindsay and guitarist Arno Verstappen. The duo has assembled a brand new group of great musicians for their new crop of tunes.

Here is some background info on the players:

Drummer Ron Wikso has toured and recorded with Foreigner, Cher, Richie Sambora, David Lee Roth, The Storm and many, many more. Most recently, he has been playing with the Gregg Rolie Band. By the way, if you're into great melodic rock (which we presume you are if you're reading this) you owe it to yourself to find out more about Gregg's latest album "Roots."

Keyboard player Wally Minko has played with Jean Luc Ponty, Toni Braxton, Pink and En Vogue. Just to name a few. Lately, Wally has been working along with Ron in the Gregg Rolie Band.

Here are just a couple of the places, where you can catch bassist Lance Morrison: Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" album and Don Henley's "Inside Job Live" DVD.

Today is the day that the brand new album from Challenge "Spirit" is officially released!

Since all the mainstream acts have released their albums over the holidays, the beginning of the year is pretty lean for music lovers. What better timing for a brand new Challenge record.

Arno & Allison attended the Orange County Music Awards last night to support their friends and clients, The Rare Form Band on their nomination for Best Jazz category. As if that wasn't fun enough, THEY WON!

Included in the thanks, Eric Garcia, (the band's leader) made a special mention of thanks to Arno which made for a great evening.

Their album "Room For Change" was recorded, mixed and mastered at Challenge's studio, ALV Music by Arno Verstappen
